RE: Xylas_Incarnum... her primary thought is more "keep her away!!" than "i can totally do this", tbh XD Also gjfdk;shfda olord that IS a fuckin tiny lamp on that page. How did I not notice thattt *drags hands down face*
...Have YOU, Gail? I don't know if you used to hold jobs before you got powers, but "stealing from other people" is not exactly a job, either.
And far from me to diminish the great hardship suffered by the economically disadvantaged, but, y'know, the vast majority of those guys manage NOT to become criminals. So don't try to act from some kind of position of moral superiority you don't have, Gail.
@sun tzu... eh, last I checked most of those things happened to other denizens of the less than legal areas. or poeple worse than her in general.
Not to mention that as the main character here, Gail sorta... oh wait no, that's not an iron clad rule now that I think of it... anyways, she hasn't done any mass homicides of random people for petty things yet so I don't quite see what she's doing wrong with all that background context.
Not to mention that if people could actually get away with what Gail's been doing, they'd do it. something about lack of adequate consiquences and the concious is heard less often in urban areas. or was it less loudly? dunno never really had oneas far as I can remember.
(in response to "being a hero instead of a villan" counter argument"
bound to be brought up)
who the fuck would actually champion a society that doesn't support them, besides that doesn't really pay all that well. ever notice that practically ALL heroes either have jobs or are stinking rich or otherwise don't require cash?
@sun tzhu ... Well, that "innocent" jewler bit is rediculous, we don't really know that much about the store owner. That and I'm fairly certain there's some sorta theft insurance for them.
As for Amber's friends... so what? they're in the dame boat so why is that a problem?
Gail IS playing the villan after all. Those things are completely neglegible in that category of things.
