Thrown knife, saw it coming. Does Gail have anymore? Her outfit should have enough room for 2-5 more blades, depending on their size.

Whaddya know... Knives DO have reach.

Also, Amber, based on the shape of that lamp post in the previous page, you have a stick with a shield at the end of it! Even if Gail throws hard enough to pen it, you ought to be able to deflect the blade by angling the bottom bit right.

Xylas_Incarnum, September 4th, 2016, 9:58 am

@Spartanc45 That would be a bit awkward to do for her. The length of the pole combined with the small size of the base plate would be rather cumbersome without practice. seeing as the plate is about the size of a small buckler, would be better to use the pole to deflect/block the knife like a metal staff.

too much length behind it and the balance is probably already rather bad so being that inventive is just a bad idea.

Spartanc45, September 4th, 2016, 12:59 pm

@Xylas_Incarnum Good point, though, to be fair, that exact plate makes it a bad choice as a staff in the first place. Something that shape and size doesn't really have much use beyond being a shield, and, at the end of a staff like that... She should have snapped it off of its base if she could, rather than yanking it up, base and all. She's already made it to where the wires have to be replaced as it is (seeing as she didn't take the time to properly disconnect them), after all.

@Spartanc45 guess her superpowered strength is compensating sommat. That said, she did grab it in a sommat panicked state of mind. Amber's still too green. Pretty sure some physics are off here antways since that base sould have been bent some before it was pulled off. nuts and bolts have greater tenstile strength than bottlecaps after all.

probaby best to ignore how bad a weapon it would be in a more realistic sense and wait for the next page.

unless her power changed again, Gail has all the knife she wants to copy
